How To Book
Booking conditions play an important role in your contract for the trip, please read carefully! , and complete the Booking Form Check availability for the tour you would like to do with us on our website or with your travel agent. Complete the booking form and send to us. You will receive confirmation and information on how to make your payments within 24 hrs. After your confirmation, you will be required to make a non refundable 20% deposit (or other amount stipulated) as advised by our sales team. Full payment is due 60 days prior to departure of your trip.
Acceptance of Booking Contract
Once Africa Biomes is in receipt of a signed booking form, plus 20% deposit (or other amount stipulated), a confirmation invoice will be issued. It is only at this time the booking will be deemed to be accepted. The place of conclusion of the contract will therefore be 1069 Chinotimba, Victoria Falls and any matters arising from it will be subject to Zimbabwean law and the exclusive jurisdiction of Zimbabwean courts. Africa Biomes reserves the right to decline any booking. Your contract is with Africa Biomes CC based at 1069 Chinotimba, Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe
Cancellation or Changes To Booking
Cancellations of any booking must be received in writing and acknowledged by Africa Biomes. The following fees shall apply: Notification is received 30 days or more before departure, loss of 20% deposit. 29-20 days, loss of 80% of tour cost. 19-10 days, loss of 80% of tour cost. 0-10 days, loss of 100% of your cost. If you fail to join a tour, join it after its departure, or leave a tour prior to its end for any reasons, no reimbursement whatsoever will be made.
Changes Made By You
Africa Biomes will make every effort to assist you if you need to change your reservation for whatever reason. You may move your reservation to another date, subject to availability and agreement with our reservation office. Any changes will incur a fee of $100, and any subsequent cancellation fee will be based on date of original travelling date. Should we not be able to help you with alternative dates, the normal cancellation fees will apply.
Changes or Cancellations Made By Africa Biomes
Every effort will be made to operate itineraries as advertised. However, we do plan the arrangements well in advance and occasionally itineraries may change slightly. Due to local conditions and unforeseen circumstances, Africa Biomes or its employees may altar the itinerary of the tour in any way with no refund to the client. In the event of a major disruption as a result of, including but not limited to, the weather conditions, mechanical breakdowns, sickness, political instability or acts of terror (perceived or actual) or other factors after the time of departure, every effort will be made to utilize alternative arrangements. If additional expenses are incurred through delay, accident or disruption beyond the control of the company, such expenses must be borne by the client. Africa Biomes reserves the right to cancel any tour and either offer an alternative, or refund the money paid in full. This will however be in rare circumstances.
Your Responsibilities
In addition to the above, the client agrees to strictly abide by the law and regulations of each country we visit and to abide by the instructions of the guide with regards to safety and the running of the tour. The client agrees to indemnify Africa Biomes for any accident, damage to property, or personal injury caused by the client during the tour. Clients are responsible for the safe keeping of their personal belongings. Clients are responsible for checking in on time and are responsible for reconfirming flight times. Africa Biomes cannot be responsible for delays caused by airline flights.
Alterations, Cancellation or Delay
If rescue or medical assistance is required, for any reason, the client shall be liable for the entire cost. You acknowledge that the nature of the holiday is adventurous and that such tours involve an element of personal risk, and that Africa Biomes or its agents cannot be held responsible for injury, accident, damage to property, or loss of life, delay or inconvenience. The client accepts responsibility for the risks involved.
Other Conditions
When you book excursions not operated by Africa Biomes (whether recommended by the company or not), Africa Biomes will have no legal liability for anything that may go wrong with the excursion and any claim will be against the relevant local operator (eg. white water rafting, bunji jumping, delta etc.). If Africa Biomes considers the client to be unsuitable for a tour, it may in its absolute discretion cancel the clients booking or decline to carry the client further if that client causes inconvenience, annoyance or danger to other passengers. If the client has a complaint whilst on tour, they must bring it to the guide’s/tour leader’s attention so it can be dealt with. If the matter is not resolved whilst on tour, the client must write to Africa Biomes within 30 days of completion of the trip. JJ Africa tours will not entertain complaints of loss of enjoyment, where full land arrangements have been provided.

What the price includes
Accommodation
Your fee covers all the accommodation payments during the trip, twin rooms for non-couples and double for couples whenever staying in hotels or hostels. When camping we provide two person tents and necessary camping and cooking equipment. Note: we will not always guarantee double rooms for couples when staying in hotels. Please consult your itinerary for what form of accommodation is provided for the trip.
Meals
Meal arrangements depend on where you are, while camping, meals will be provided on campfire and the arrangements differ when staying at a hotel. Refer to your itinerary about the number of meals provided on your trip.
Transport
All necessary transport during this trip is included, whether private or public. Your transport during your tour will have enough space for camping equipment and luggage.
Park Fees Permits and Taxes
We have included all the highlighted excursions on your trip fee, National Park fees, road tolls, necessary local permits, and taxes.
What prices do not include
Flights
International flights, domestic flights not stipulated on the trip notes and airport taxes as well as any other expenses of a personal nature such as gifts and souvenirs are not included on the fee.
Other
Flights, visas, vaccinations, travel insurance, sleeping bags, personal effects, entrance fees to Historical Sites (if not specified on the trip notes), meals not included on itinerary, optional activities such as bungi, quad biking etc., personal expenditures such as laundry, drinks, tips etc.
Single Supplements
Single Supplements are not included in your fee; if you wish to have single supplements, please make arrangements with us ahead of time.
Other Information
Age Requirements
We do not accept unaccompanied children under the age of 18 years. With accompanied children; adults will take full responsibility for them whilst on the trip. If clients are over the age of 70, we will require a confirmation letter explaining the nature of the trip.
Spending Money
You are required to take enough money that covers the cost of all meals not included on the trip cost; optional activities, souvenirs; personal requirements; drinks; extra accommodation etc.
Baggage
You are advised to bring as little as you possibly can, you need to consider weight restrictions on your flight and also consider that you may need to take mementos back with you.
Health Requirements
It is always advisable to check with your doctor as soon as you book the trip for up to date advice on all preventive health precautions. Take note our trips run in malaria stricken areas and some countries may require Yellow Fever Certificates, especially when you have been to an affected area before coming on the trip.
Passport and Visas
You are required to have a valid passport, with enough pages to take you through to the countries to which you are traveling. Visa requirements differ depending on what nationality you are. It is your responsibility to obtain visas required for countries to which you are traveling.
